    So would that mess the transmission up in the long run?

    Also would it let you start off in 1st and manuely push it to 2nd and so on safely?

    a shift kit? it actually extends the life of the transmission. it makes it MORE safe and will make it last longer. yea u could still manually shift it safely

    2001 Trans-Am 13 F-XT

    I had a Trans-go shift kit installed in my Vette a few years back and I think it was about 300 for the kit, trans flush and all. I'll look up the price when I get a chance. I know I have the receipt somewhere.

    I didn't think it was to bad considering if you do something wrong your trans will cost lots more to fix.

    yea, but the directions are soooo thourough i dont think u could do anything wrong. i have the kit and the directions, but it was just wayyyyy too much for me...

    I keep hearing they are not hard to do, but a real pain to do. I guess it's about a 4 hour job to do.
