    What type of paint did pontiac use on the WS6 cars (enamel - lacquer) and what is the paint code for the CE yellow

    WA9929 and I do not believe they use lacquer or enamel anymore. It is all basecoat and clear coat with water based enviornment friendly properties.

    anymore is today - what about 10 years ago. I want to make sure my touchup paint is compatible.

    You'd have to go back 30 years to see enamel or lacquer used to paint cars.

    Base coat, clear coat eurothane(sp) has been the standard at least that long now.
