    2002 NHRA Edition Trans Am

Thinking of selling my 2002 NHRA Special Edition Trans Am. It has 63,000 miles, automatic. Pewter metallic with ebony leather interior. New tires, WS6 17X9 wheels, new brakes, shocks. Had light front end hit but popped the air bags so it has a previously salvaged title. All has been repaired. What would the price be on a special edition car like this? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks...................

I wouldn't expect to get anything extra for the NHRA edition. It's basically just a few badges, it's not a sought after edition like a Collector's Edition.

With the salvage title, I'd say maybe 12-13k. I wouldn't pay anymore than that.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. I know the NHRA option is kind of a bust, just 5 badges and that's it. But being a racing guy, it is kind of cool.

    Thanks again.

I will try to post some pics of it over the weekend, but with my daughter's graduation, it may be kind of hectic.

    Thanks.............

I agree the NHRA edition is NOTHING special. Aside from the owners acting like their shit don't stink 24/7. "Ooooooohh look at me! I'm a member of the NHRA"...no no, no you are not.

I misread; with the salvaged title low teens is expected.

im a nhra owner and i dont act as my shit dont stink.
a nhra edition is nothing more than a collectors edition.
maybe one day it will be worth something because of its low production numbers, maybe it wont. either way i dont care.

well i got my car salvaged and it was pretty damn cheep. the air bags blew and it was missing the drivers door. so i bought the door and i ended up paying around 7500 for a car with 17000 miles on it. its a pretty nice car if you ask me

I know, when the air bags pop on these cars it's about $3000-$4000 dealer charged repair for the bags, module, windshield, dash and labor. The actual body damage may be minimal but the insurance companies total them out.

I just bought a 2000 NHRA Trans Am. Is that using a LS1? And how much horses is the engine cranking out?

that's when you step in and find the parts chaeper to keep it a clean title.
