    As to the debate about hardtop or not for 2002, there are definitely 2002 Firebird and Formula hardtops but I have yet to see a Trans Am hardtop. I also thought I had read that the TAs were mandatory T Tops. Someone will no doubt prove me wrong.

    1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert

    There were 1850 Firebird (V6) HTs built in '02. All Formulas and T/As in '02 were T-tops. T-tops were standard equipment on T/As since '98, and on Formulas in '02 (the last V8 HTs were '01 Formulas and '97 T/As).

    This answer is right there in the breakdown if you just look. Ask me how I know.
