I am very saddened by this news. I do not wish to own an Xbox 360 just to drive my car in the virtual world. I bought a PS2 just for GT3 and GT4 and bought a PS3 and have been patiently awaiting GT5 while I play GT5 prologue and the GTHD demo. My fingers are crossed that Polyphony one ups Turn 10 and includes a Firehawk MWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Then I'll buy the NBM version and drive nothing else in the game ever.

Knowing Forza, you will be able to put the LS7 in it with Forced Induction, sweet... Hell probably the LS9, that have some crazy upgrades.

I am still playing GT4 to be honest. I set a goal for myself. I need to drive at least 1 lap of the nurburgring with every car in the game. I'm on page 46 of 73 I'm moving up the list in order of vehicle price. So far my fastest "normal" car meaning not a tuner model or special car, all my cars are stock, is a C5 Zo6 that ran a 7:44 around the ring which is 12 seconds faster than the cars real life time. That time makes sense since in the game a driver is far more willing to take chances that would surely doom a driver in real life, hence shaving 12 seconds from a 13 mile long lap lol. I hope I get a chance to drive all 720 cars before GT5 comes out. I'll certainly be an expert at the nurb having completed over 1000 laps of that green hell.

I test most of my cars in GT4 at that track aswell. But i fully mod my cars, i dont usually do full on race cars as i dont really car what they run. Ran my fully built SLR Mcclaren last night after everyone was asleep with 886 N/A hp full mods and the stickest race tires i got a 6.32. Was running in the very low 7.xx fully modded with s2 sports tires in the SLR but i made some mistakes and know i could have hit a high 6 minute time. Only race car i ran was the C5R and it was fully modded, cant remember exact time but it was high 5.XX

considering how realistic the portrayal of the cars is I figured running stock would be more fun... to me anyway. the times may be slower with my top 10 running from 7:44-7:57 right now but as the prices creep up and I hit race spec cars the times will continue to drop. It's like a game in itself for me. I can't wait to build my racing cockpit complete with G27 racing wheel and PSeye camera for head tracking. I kept the drivers seat from my sisters Achieva just for that purpose. I'll prob put some kind of cover on the seat and make the setup modular for storage. can't wait to see what kind of times I put down with that!!! With a 1971 barracuda I cut 11 seconds off my nurb time when switching from the dual shock to the logitech driving force GT.

    Edit:
Today I use my wireless sixaxis to play GT4 because the foot pedals of the Driving Force GT SUCK. that 7:44 was using the sixaxis. I can only imagine how fast that car would have been using wheel and pedals

I do it to see what times i can get but mostly to see which cars i feel drive better for certain races. When i was testing the SLR i was doing it to see if i would rather race my RUF twin turbo or the SLR in the german only races.

Geez you all are way behind on forza... My number one favorite game for xbox. I'm very excited about the ta in the game. More so than the ZR1 thats in there and the race version of the GTR. that is a bad bad car boy.

Do some searching on the Logitech G25 Race Wheel! There are some vids on youtube that show it being used with the NFS:Shift (AMAZING GAME). The clutch actually works!!

Hmmmm the clutch works on NFS shift??? I may be interested in getting the G27 earlier than planned for that fact. It feels like the computer can't shift for it's life. Even when using manual the time between gear changes seems terribly long. and while i'm waiting for the computer to let out the clutch i'm bouncing off the rev limiter. This has been a problem in stock cars as well as cars with stage 3 clutches and lightened flywheels.

I actually like playing the game. The cars always feel like they are on the edge of control which may not be entirely realistic but it imparts an excellent sense of speed. I also find that this same razors edge feel forces me to drive more cautiously than I would in GT or Forza. As a result my nurburgring times increased a lot and are more in line to what an average driver in an insanely powerful car would be capable of doing. Of course give me a G27 and let me control the clutch and my times would prob drop a lot from all my new found control! lol

In all it's a good game.... i recommend it

The 1970 zr1 had the lt1 350 with 370hp, correct? There was a 390hp 454 that year that really made more like 440hp but the zr-1 didnt get it.

This makes me really really really hope that GT5 has most of the same cars as Forza. I do NOT want to buy an Xbox just so I can drive my car in the game. ugh... PLEASE Polyphony Digital... Hook a guy up!
