2001 Wheel Options
Can anyone post pictures of the two wheel options on the '01 WS6? I have the alluminum alloy five spoke with the pontiac badge in the center. I want black wheels and didn't know if the other option that year was alluminum or black in color? Also anyone have opinions on whether I should buy new wheels or powder coat my current ones?

only black wheel availiable was the ws6 black machined face wheel on 2002 CETA t/as (do a google image search)
good luck finding some,
have whatever style of wheel YOU want, i like the 5 spoke z06 wheels, its all opinion,
if you want em black just powder coat em, it'll work great, you might can find some already powder coated for youLast edited by justinmc978; 09-27-2009 at 08:34 PM.

Thanks, I'm thinking it'll be cheaper and easier to just powder coat my current wheels then buying new and having to sell my current ones. I don't care so much as the style (I have 5 spoke aluminums like i mentioned before) but I want black because they, in my opinion, make the ws6 look much more agressive and will offset the red brake calipers i want to put on.
Any idea on the price to powder coat four wheels?

I'm looking to do the same. Got one quote at $150+/- per tire(included machining the curb rash off the outer edge). Powdercoating is the cheapest way, short picking up a can of spray paint.
Another member pointed this out to me.
Part 65561D. They also have replicas of a all the Vette rims too.

Would almost be cheaper to buy the new set and sell current wheels. But then I have to find a buyer. Hm, interesting KMdef, thanks for the link.

It could be. My problem is I want to keep everything so the car can go back to stock, don't know why really, just have been holding on to everything.
Plus, never too bad of an idea to have 2 sets, this way I figure I can price out how much it is to get my stockers cleaned up, repolished, and get the edge remachined.
If you end up selling your rims let me know.

KMdef, basically i'd be ready to sell my wheels now if I get an offer. I just want to try to have something lined up before I purchase my new wheels. Let me know what you'd like to offer if you're interested at the present time.
I still think I want to just buy new wheels rather than powder coat. Just less hassle for my busy busy schedule.
