    2001 Trans am mystery

Hey all, I just bought my 2001 ws6 and it's got a few things that need to be taken care of. First the easy part. There's a bit of rear bumper sag between the top of the rear bumper and the tail lights. How do I fix this? Second, the owner before me had the slp lid, k&n filter, what looks like to be an aftermarket maf, and a performance chip of some sort put in. The guy at the dealership said that the chip makes the plugs run hotter. From my old trans am (99), I dont remember chips, but power programmers like hypertech and the sort. Is this something new? Whatever it is, its throwing an ses light, although I havent had time to sit down and check what code it is. Any guesses to this?

    No 'chips'. Programmer, or programmed.
SES codes can be read by your local auto parts store.
Find out what is causing it, then you can fix the problem.
No one can just guess at what is cauing the SES light.

    Bumper? Pics?
Not sure there, ..., Missing retainers? Been wrecked?

Where/what does the "chip" plug in/look like - only thing I can think of is maybe it's an SLP air temperature module that plugs in between the IAT sensor and the stock harness connector.

That code is probably getting thrown by the after market MAF.

Aftermarket MAFs are fine, as long as you get them tuned, but like getting tuned after header/exhaust install, it's pointless to waste the money...
