2000 WS-6 HID Lights
I just purchased a 2000 TA and I had HID's in my '05 Silverado. Since the lights are the sealed beams, is there a conversion kit to make it where you can put the HID kit in them? The are SOO much brighter and just love the look.

You'll have to make your own kit. Get the sealed beam conversions from eurolights.com and hid kits off ebay. Do a search - there are a few really good threads about this.

eurolights.com for the housing and ddmtuning.com for the HID kits.

I have Hids on my t/a also, but I didnt buy the conversion kit. Not that many people know this, but you can actually cut the silicone off the back of the stock sealed beam halogen. Once you get it cut off there is a small phillips head screw that holds the bulb in place. This only works for the high beam 4701 and then just buy the H1 hid kit and the bulbs will fit perfectly. Just put the screw back in place and put a little silicone around it to prevent moisture from getting in. Then put the sealed beam light with the H1 hid bulb in the place where the low beam light was located. It seems a liitle complicated but it saved me 50 -60 bucks or however much the conversion kit from eurolights costs. Plus i had a couple 4701 sealed beam lights laying around in the garage.

my biggest concern with doing and HID conversion is having a beam thats gunna attract attention from the Cops. I've read that some beams end up being scattered while others look pretty nice and focused. I'm thinking is all in the housing you use. I just wonder if the Eurolights housing is better for this situation than converting the stock sealed beam, or if the stock light conversion will yield basically the same result.

Ok, this may be a really dumb question, but do they make a kit that replaces the the flip up lights with a projector style light like on the new Vette? Been looking but nothing....

Yeah, found 'em! OMG!!! $1K kit!!! I think they look pretty good, but not for that price, I'll fight the flip ups... Thanks for the help everyone. Also, I changed the stripped gear, but when the drivers side goes down it still grinds?!?! Do I need a new motor?

I don't think they look soo bad (looks like the 98' Firehawk prototypes) but for the price.... Hell no.
And congrats on the TA!!
