Question 2000 Trans Am Slight Rattle

    Hello all,

I had just got my Transmission rebuilt and put back in. I bought 2 new slaves for my car (The first stock GM one ended up breaking as we put too much pressure on the bleeder valve and it broke) and one from autozone. As well, while we were putting in a new Master Cylinder for the clutch, the rod that connects to the pettle started to slide as if it came loose. We ended up tact welding the rod so it won't move and put everything back together...

Okay, so my issue is - it's still rough to go into gear. I used GM Syncromesh fluid for the transmission, bled the clutch a bit and all that, yet still getting rough gears. Now, they're NOT grinding, just hard to enter the gear as if the clutch isn't pressing correctly. We used the old clutch (Bought a new one), since it looked fine and wanted to use it til it's gone and done.

Along with the hard gear entry, I have a rattle noise - doesn't fully go away during the clutch engage, but it will go away will I go to put it in gear (At least sounds like it, I do have a loud car). So I am wondering if we did anything incorrectly while putting everything back together.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

P.S. The transmission was rebuilt at Tick Performance.

What stage did you have tick rebuild the transmission? And while on the rebuild did they replace any components inside the transmission? shifter lever? syncros? When tick rebuilds the transmissions they are extremely basic as to what they do as far as rebuilding.

    Welcome to the site!

Any chance that you did not fully bleed the clutch hydraulics?
