2000 Firehawk for $9,000 GOOD DEAL??

It has clean title, good shape and is build #567 with 110k on the odometer. Is this a good deal and what repairs usually need to be made at this mileage?
    Any help would be appreciated.

At some point unless they've been replaced, it'll be the typical things like sensors, spark plugs & wires, maybe a headlight motor and window motor to start. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find a post with the answers you're looking for. This type of question is asked quite often on these websites. If the car is in good shape running and appearance wise $9,000 definitely sounds like a good deal.

shocks as well, but you'd be able to tell with test drive.

How many owners has it had? Dealer, warranty?

I got mine a month or so ago with 1 owner, 67k miles at a Jag dealer with 6 month warranty. Paid 7500 plus tax to be 8100.

Also, I think you can email the vin to SLP's site to see if it is an authentic Firehawk. It should also have 2 bar codes with numbers on the inside of the door instead of 1, someone correct me if Im wrong.

Yeah i'd go for it just check it out real well and ask alot of questions, just cause a car has alot of miles does'nt mean its gonna be in rough shape, take mine for example mine's a 99 w/90,XXX miles on it,its never seen a winter, rain and i rarly ever have driven it at night cause I dont wanna burn the rotors in the headlights I even have all service records 100% babied, point being dont pass up that hawk check it out, could be a great buy even at over 100 miles

Thanks, I did call SLP and they confirmed that it is a true firehawk built in Canada. Drove it this afternoon and runs well, Clutch feels good and there is not any annoying interior rattles etc. The only thing that concerns me is a dirty engine bay. Which could be a good thing, meaning someone owned it and saw it as a daily driver and not a weekend drag queen challenging everyone on the road.

When I turned the key over, I did hear what sounded to be the fuel pump. Is that normal?? Or what else could it have been?

look at the if you can talk to the seller that will give the best idea as to wether or not its a good deal and do a NADA to give your self a ballpark price range.

NADA shows 13k as low retail which seems a little high to me, but maybe that is what these cars are going for. However, it is priced closed to kbb as a T/A and that is how they advertised it. Maybe they don't know the difference.

I got my 2000 Firehawk with 44k miles for $9730 about a year ago. It was a Ford dealer and they didn't know the difference between a hawk and a regular T/A. Actually, seems like a lot of people on this forum don't know the difference either.

Most enthusiasts like to keep the engine bay presentable, dont you agree?
That is why I am thinking it must have been just transportation to the previous owners.

Fletch, post some pics of the Grand National. I have always loved that car.

Just found out it is a Formula Firehawk and only 62 were made that year and just 39 with the T-Top. That makes it almost irresistible. I think I will trade the 88 Vette for it.

    i didn't even use lube.

They got me back a little. It came out to a little over $13000 with the extended warranty that I won't ever use and expires in a year.

Yeah, my 96 Z28 had problems and I wish I had a warranty, so I got one on the hawk, but of course, I'll probably never use it.
