1st pass at the track

I went to the track and ran for the first time tonight, I dont think that I did to bad considering. I was just wondering what I should have been running with my mods that I have. A 2000TA, A4, with ram air, k&N filter, cut out air lid, SLP underpulley, Mizierre electric water pump 180 thermostat, edelbrock ceramic shorty headers, dual exhaust SLP loudmouth2 mufflers and a predator tune. Remember the car has 105500 milses on it with no rebuild yet. It was at Mid America Motorplex a 1/8 mile. I ran 8.951@82.37 MPH. 60ft was 2.258. My reaction time was pretty bad @ .634 gotta work on that, I was kinda nervous, first time jitters I guess. It was a hell of a rush tho. I was launching about 1500-1700RPM. So how is that, and is that about what it should be running? Does anyone else have a setup similar to this? Thanks

eh' ..... just keep going back and run it more often, im sure you could improve upon your times .... practice makes perfect. also what kinda weather you dealing with up there?

It is only an 1/8 track. We dont have a 1/4 around where I live anymore. The next closest one is at K.C. its like 150 miles away.

The weather was great around 75-70 degrees, only just a slight breeze.

i have a 2001 ta ws6 with 86,000 miles and i only have a slp lid, k&n, and slp loudmouth exhaust. I ran 8.9 last night with a 2.1 60ft and .59 react at 81mph. Just keep practicing, lowest time i have ran is an 8.6 but it was about 60 degree weather. Does your car hook up pretty well?

Yes it seemed to hook up very well or so I thought, everyone I went with said that it looked like it launched pretty well. Gonna go next Friday and see what I can get it to do then.

you need to get that 60ft time under the 2sec. mark... I've gone as low as 1.6... but my car is a freak...and it had really grippy tires...
