The wheels are correct for `93-94 Hawks and most of it looks correct, BUT to my knowledge no Firehawk was converted from a Trans Am before 1999 (except 1 Trans Am Convertible in 1991). Even though it says pilot car you would still need to verfiy the Vin with SLP to find out if it is indeed legit.

Ya that car may be rare but for that much money I'd rather pick up an LS1 WS6.

    1999 Trans Am FIREHAWK

9T8W66 is right , the Trans am package was not offered on the Firehawk till 1998/1999 only the formula . If you can get ahold of the vin contact SLP directly they will be able to tell you if it`s a real Firehawk .

Other than the Trans am bumpers , side skirts , rear wing , wrong ram air hood box & the performance mods it looks like a Firehawk , But I think they only made somthing like between 250-500 that year but don`t quote me .

    1999 Trans Am FIREHAWK

Oop`s looking at it again it MAY have the right ram air box , it`s kinda hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like is says trans am on the doors above the firehawk script .
Somthing looks a little sketchy .

Also it has T-Tops , unless those were converted too all firehawks were hardtops untill the late 90's .

Get the Vin and decode it. Check with SLP and make sure. But for 13k id rather have a ls1 car. You can pick up some cars that are seriously nice for that much now.

Not true. T-tops were available on 4th-gen Firehawks all years.

    35 Hawks w/ T-tops in 1993
    270 in 1994
    351 in 1995
    25 in 1996
    81 in 1997

    Only 1 3rd Gen in 1992

Curiously, RPO R6V supposedly identified a LT1 Firehawk. It was also used on Comp T/As '95-'97. However, there seem to be several T/As built in '94-'97 w/ RPO R6V that are not Comp T/As. Not sure exactly what they are. No '93 T/As w/ R6V were built.

    1997 Firehawk LT4

People on here astound me at their lack of Firehawk knowledge, frankly. If you don't know, don't post.

-Wheels are correct for the '94 model year.
-There were pilot cars built on Trans Ams. Even a few 25th anniversary cars were converted.
-The ram air box is correct for the '94 model year.
-The pilot cars had the Trans Am lettering on the door with the Firehawk decals under it, just like this car.
-T-tops were never limited for the Firehawk except on the 29 built with the LT4 engine in 1997.
-The R6V option would not show up on the pilot cars.

So, what can you do to make sure if it is or is not a Firehawk Pilot car? Call SLP, as folks have said. The pilots also had a numbered dash plate that said "Pilot" on it. See if the seller can get you that info. It may well be a pilot car from Canada, but for US cars '94 Pilot #3 is actually yellow. #1 is red, #2 is black. The Mapleleaf cars (Canadian ones) would have had the leaf on the dash plate. This may be a good find!

This is possibly my favorite Firehawk ever, owned by Ryan Corcoran in Pennsylvania. A legit, documented '94 25th T/A vert. I hate white cars. I really hate white wheels. I REALLY hate white leather. I love this car.

COOL, never knew such a car existed. Learn something new here all the time.

I wonder if this car contains the R6V RPO? His sign says "One of a Kind", so no other 25th Hawk 'verts built?

Yea!!! Best Post Ever in this thread, ...
I was gonna post some smart-ass answer yesterday, but refrained, ...
Good to see someone set every straight Mike!
I believe the hood is correct for the Firehawk also.

Correct, the hood is right for '93 through mid-'97 cars. In mid '97 SLP started using the WS6 style hood with the more squared off look.

Seems like every other thread on this forum that mentions "Firehawk" has some misinformation in it. I get tired of it. I didn't mean my response to make me sound like a schmuck, though. I don't care if you are talking about Firehawks or anything else...if you don't know what you are talking about, keep your pie-hole shut. There are very few things that I know a lot about, so you will see my post count remain low. When I do know something, I tend to pipe up about it.

It does not have the R6V option. There were two 25th verts built, but the other is optioned differently.
