10 years old!
My beloved Trans Am is now 10 years old. Makes me sad that there are no newer Firebirds, and barring something unexpected, there never will be again. Our club will only get more exclusive I guess as time goes on. It is halfway to being a 'classic' now. I guess another decade and I can get a classic license plate!
With the new retro trend in pony cars, I sometimes worry that the TA looks dated, though I still love it. Anyone else think they're showing their age, getting a little dated? Maybe not, with the Corvette still being around and having that basic shape still...

hey to be honest i wish the camaro would stop too because i feel they ruined it with the 5th gen, it just lost all its sleekness from the 4th gen. with that being said in time your prices will go up and camaro prices will prob fall unless you have a mint one that isnt a dime a dozen.

I want the 5th gen to move onto the Alpha platform. This current one looks like a brick.
As far as my 4th gen goes, I still have ppl come up at car shows and compliment the looks. Had a damn hot woman come up and tell me I have her dream car. her husband wasn't too happy....she said don't worry he's a mustang guy.

Yeah I'm not thrilled with the 5-th gen so far. The smiley faced front end and the low top don't work for me. Good point about the Firebirds hopefully increasing in value now as a real collectible...
Yeah I do still get compliments so I guess it's still a good looking car to the masses. That's great about the babe with the Mustang hubby, heh...

Pewter- 2002 Trans Am WS6 M6
Im guessing since most t-tops tend to leak at some point in their life would be why. Everyone who asked me if it was a t-top was followed by does it leak? Hell even one of my female friends who knows nothing about cars asked if mine leaked. While they may be able to make them better now I think most people will remember that fact. Plus it doesnt help that the 3rd gens have made alot of people think of rednecks when it comes to t-tops lol.

Hey your back!
I love my Trans Am. I had a choice to but something brand new but decided against it cause the TA is just so much sexier.

Hi hi! Yep, I figured a year away was enough time to let my temper cool down...
Attagirl. I say this in as non-sexist a manner as I possibly can... Women that drive Trans Ams are hot! Right up there with women that drive Jeep Wranglers... with the doors off... wearing tank tops... mmmm

navy blue- 2002 camaro ss
I think a 10 year old trans am looks better than the 5th gen camaros. The new camaro lines just dont flow right then add in that dumb ass sun roof that pops up, it makes the car look cheap!!! IMO

I also took delivery of my Hawk 10 yrs ago this month. She looks as good as ever and still brings a smile to my face when when she gets up and goes! She does turn a head or too herself, well maybe a blurr roaring past.

Im not a complete hater of the zeta Camaro. I agree its too bulky and doesnt look like a camaro. But its an alright "car.".
As for does the TA look dated? I get more compliments about it than i can even count. I even had someone say "i didnt think they made those anymore" implying it looked new. Its the best looking car ever made imo. Definitely not dated.
