10 years in the making
i posted a few months ago about my love for trans ams and how i was looking to get one buy the end of the year.. well i guess the time was finally right because i sold my 98 chevy this week and i bought a trans am today! it will arrive here sunday.. its not a ws6 like i was hoping but it does have the ram air hood... the car itself has 134,xxx but the motor was rebuilt in the summer and has a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty.. may not be perfect, but its my first TA and i cant wait to start putting my touches on it with the help of the awesome members of this site.. here are some pics..

thanks.. probably some nice blue graphics to add alittle color to it and a blue fog lamp covers.. there is a car on site i saw, not sure if they are a sponsor so i wont say the name, that has them on it and it looks great... im not saying im modeling it after that one, just taking alittle from all the cars ive seen.. i know exhaust is one of the first thing to be done.. love the LS1 rumble.. its sweet music to my ears!

red- 02 trans am ws6
nice ride! the only thing left to my 02 ws6 is the hood! suspension was gutted, ram air swapped out, rear end gone... the list goes on and on. You saved coin not getting a ws6 and it has the good looking hood! mod up they can go fast.

well thats what makes it sweeter for me.. that WAS the list price.. but they banks had a problem with me being in louisiana, then one bank didnt mind that but because of the miles on the car itself and the year, they didnt want to do it.. so the owner of the car lot told me that he would do a cash deal...$3750 plus $248 to ship it to me here in louisiana!!!! now thats what i call a Christmas miracle!!! i drained my bank account and borrowed a few hundred from my boss to get it done........Merry Christmas to me!!!

Looks like my 98 when.I.got new except I put the painted and.installed RAM air hood on it myself. Got lucky yours came with the hood and for that price I.would have bought it for a.dd and sold my 93 5.0.
Don't sweat the fact it isn't a WS6 if your like me they are a waste since the hood is the only part worth keeping. I started with some new wheels, ceta mod, red overlays, bolt ons and a tune then replaced every thing on the suspension from lca's, panhard bar, BMR springs, KYB AGX struts, and spohn sway bars so buying a WS6 would.have been a waste. Plus it handles much better than one. Mod.it.and have fun you got a sweet deal on it.1998 Trans Am 85k miles.
Bolt ons, MS3 113LSA cam, Circle D Stall, Tune, Modified WS6 style hood, Full Suspension, 6000k HID's, Clear Side Markers w/ Leds, Led 3rd Brake Light and 18" AR Staggered Killer Wheels w/ BFG KDW NT's.- Weekend Toy/DD
