    '10 Trans Am by GSC

Went to our monthly Firebird meeting, this time it was at a location where Gearhead Street Customs are converting new Camaros into Trans Ams. I know a lot of people have different opinions on this, but I thought it was cool to see what and how they are doing it here. He encouraged me to take photos, and said post 'em wherever.

There is nothing wrong with the quality of work, the quality looks good. Its just the idea itself.

But there are those out there who want it. They have delivered 4 already, working on 10 more, at least one is a ragtop.

I have to say the quality looks great and with the supercharger does add some price but it makes it more unique and I'm sure alot faster that the SS. When you figure strapping one of those chargers on a new SS with a reputable company that you can get a warranty. I mean the regular SS didn't impress me with it mediocre speed for the high price.

I was impressed with the quality also, but I am not a bodyman, so I don't see it with the eyes you do. The supercharger is a $10k option. I guess if I were going to get one I'd spend that $10k tho. It is about 6 inches (may be he said 9?) longer than a donor car, he was looking for a different profile. The Magnaflow mufflers out the rear side looked nice. No headers on any car I saw, but that's an option also.

Also, this car is featured in an upcoming HP Pontiac issue, and it looks like it was driven/tested.

I've seen pics of a completed one looks pretty cool but it's way too pricey. At 63k you may as well get a C6 Z06 for a few more bucks.

That cowl hood with the shaker just bugs the hell out of me . . . my opinions for the rest of it are very mixed and complicated. . .

Too pricey for me, but the positive thing I have to say is this: I'm glad that there are people out there who are trying to keep the Trans Am going. I know it's just a Camaro with a Trans Am body kit, but...how does the saying go? When life gives you lemons, make lemonaide, lol Oh, and I liked the wheels

$32K option.... If I had the money laying around, I would burn $63 grand on one. It would be super rare. And the free tint is the deal maker

If I had the money, I'd buy one. Just to be different. Like with my GTO.
