    2001 WS6 Trans Am

    02 T/A Firehawk w/88 miles vs 02' T/A WS6 w/1100m

I have found two cars, both in mid $20's

    02' T/A Firehawk,auto,vert,88 miles,red,never,registred,museum car,clean

    VS

02' T/A WS6, manual,coupe,1100 miles, black, never in rain, collection car

I am not looking for an investment, just the most appealing, FUN to drive,
weekend cruiser with the family.. The T/A is local, Firehawk is 350 miles away.
    What you you do???????

If you have a t-top ws6 already why not switch it up and get a vert? Oh and family car? Have you ever sat in the backseat?

I really don't need either... I am just a car addict...I just don't like verts..It would be sweet to have two 4th gens, but I will just use that money to keep the other rides up to par....

You just answered your own question. My personal (professional) opinion is to be happy with what you have or get a minivan.

Whats the mileage difference? 88k on the F/H? is that only 1000 on the T/A!? And just out of curiousity, what are the colors?

88 Miles on the Firehawk. Museum car. Firehawk is Red, WS6 is black. He says it.

I've heard horror stories about people purchasing super low mile cars only to spend more money making them road worthy again.
Neither of these cars have any real miles on them so neither have had adequate time for things to seat in properly engine wise. Add also that most of the seals and gaskets in the 88 mile car are probably dried up and will fail causing leaks or other issues.
I personally would stay away from both but if you must pick one I would go with the higher mileage WS6. JMO

I've heard of other vehicles doing the same, sit for a long time and never used. So they aren't maintained properly, just b/c they arent being driven doesn't mean there isn't maintenance. But they were kept in a garage, so I'm not sure abt a museum car.

The Firehawk is more rare out of the two, but i wouldn't buy either if you're going to have kids in it and just beat on them.

Hey thanks for the input... FYI, the firehawk is on the showroom floor, is one of 18, list for 29 but they implied that 25k would take it..
The WS6 is in the Autotrader, located in Georgia, all optioned car, the guy is super cool, has everything related to the car, will take no less than 25k.... I just get carried away with my cars... And really the family is only me and the wife with the grandkids on the weekends and they would rather go to Walmart or Kmart than "cruise around"....So I will just be happy with my 01' with 71k, runs great, few minor scratches...I just wanted a unmolested stock manual 02'..
I decided to spend a few K with Strano, Fast and a yet to be determined cam manufacture AND just be happy with what I already have.....kinda reminds me of the saying at the local speed shop "they have 12 step program for alcohol or drug addiction but only a one step program for horsepower addiction, it is called POVERTY....."

Personally, If I was to buy one of those cars, it wouldn't be to drive it. It would be to let it sit in a garage and appreciate in value. Like previously stated, cars that have never been driven will have unforseen problems. These are trailer queens, museum pieces, and collectors items. Let someone who wants it for that reason purchase it and let it sit in their garage for another 10-20 years and then sell it for twice what they paid.

I would buy the WS6 since I bought mine a month and half ago and am pretty happy with. 26K miles and in great shape.
