    01 4.6 mustang gt procharged?

    well my friend just got a procharger on his 01 mustang gt. i have and 01 Trans Am with only exhaust, how would a race turn out between him and I. and what upgrades would i need to beat him??

    How much boost is he running? Conservative amount, it would probably be a good race.

    i think he is running 7psi. other mods include full exhaust, throttle body, and of course the procharger.

    those mods wont give you an edge, if he hooks he should take you what trans are on both cars

    he could make a ton of horsepower with that sc if he cant plant it to the ground its wasted, that being said your gonna need a bit more than those mods, nitrous should help you

    I think its gonna be closer than people are leading to... a 2V stang with a 5 speed and stock rear gearing aint really shit... I mean its basically a S281E... which arent as impressive as you think... and a procharger isnt gonna develope the torque on the low end that the eaton does on the saleens... (which might help with traction, but wont get him moving as fast)

    dont be scared.... and M6's need 4.11's... dont waste your time with 3.73's...

    What is wrong with 3.73? After I swapped, I'm still getting good MPG and still have hookup probs even after I'm rollin'. With 4.11's, wouldn't MPG and traction go right out the window?

    not with good tires and a good suspension set up...MPG...who cares...we have gas hog v8s and power costs fuel..period

    its just how the m6 is geared... it allows you to run lower gears and still get approximately the same final drive in your top gear as an a4..

    A couple years ago sure, now its and arm and a leg for fun. Although price per barrel is steadily dropping so we can have even more fun!! Which means more fun for other stuff like.....

    forget the MAF sensor it's junk and race him then and see how it goes for you and you may wanna go with the 4.11's for gears the 3.73 isn't much of a change for a m6

    better make sure you got a stall ect..since if you get into a dead spot..that mustang is going to be in its sweet spot..if he knows how to drive.
