*Drivers side window, help! =( *

over the last week or so my window(d. side) started not going up all the way. then if you wait a couple of seconds it will go up like an inch, and then you have to keep playing that game untill its up. and then sometimes its perfect. i was wondering if you think its the window motor or the switch? can anyone help me? i know people are always having trouble with there windows, i guess its my turn.

It's the motor. I had that happen twice now.

I have that happening now. I guess the only way to fix it is to replace the motor?

I've heard some people only have had to clean the electrical contacts, but I was never that lucky.

where is the best place to get replacement motors? i see them all over ebay, but im not sure about them. any suggestions?

The first one was a GM replacement under warranty, but the second one I did was from Autozone. Seeing that one has a lifetime on it I thought it was a wise move for the next time it goes out. I wouldn't bother getting one from any place I'd have to ship it back to replace it when it fails again.

Definitely get a motor ahead of time. Mine just went out about 3 months ago with the window all the way down, so I took it to the dealer. $405
