    My first mod was based on my only real stroke of bad luck with the car... LS7 clutch kit, 01+ slave cylinder, GM master, Dot 4 fluid. The slave shelled out completely in an awesome blaze of glory, and somehow managed to take the master with it, and I just decided to replace the clutch too while it was all apart... and at the time, scoggin dickey had the LS7 kit for 20 bucks more than the stock kit They've since come to their senses unfortunately.

    Ay, that is why I'm gonna dish out more money for a kevlar clutch kit with a billet steel flywheel. I priced out the SD ls7 kit though, still about $100 cheaper than what I can get it for at the dealer.

    Hopefully the next time I break something up in there, I will be well into the 400hp range (which could take a while), then the next thing I get will be something that holds at least twice as much as what I put to the ground... I don't like getting into the tranny stuff...so when I replace it, hopefully I'll never have to do it again...Textralia keeps popping in my mind...if I can afford it. The kids will be in college by then

    I was looking at the Zoom clutches, under $800 for the kevlar plus flywheel. Not bad imo.

    first mod was the blower cam intake throttle body lts removed ac removed egr air removed cats y pipe to borla "cat" back and a new transmission, decided to do the mods when my tranny went out. i also rebuilt my supercharger it had a broken bearing in it and i was not sure how many miles it had on it.

    Not bad considering most of the Textralia kits I've looked at approach or exceed a grand.... wonder if their are some good reviews out there for Zoom. Have to research that at home.

    Well I figure the kevlar HAS to last longer than a ceramic disc. And the reviews I have read mostly point to one thing, it's overkill for me but it's an excellent clutch. Probably have to get used to a new pedal feel now, and it's probably stiff has hell!

    Like Y2KPewterSS I immediately changed my oil, (mobil 1)
    Then went to Pennzoil Plat. as soon as I read Sarge's truth on this issue.
    Here in order are others that happened within 35 days or so

    - Transmission fluid and filter
    - LM 11
    - TA Girdle w/ Royal purple
    - SLP Lid

    first mod on my first SS back in the day... well it was k&n/slp lid/loudmouth exhaust, all purchased at the same time. didnt know jack about what my car was all about before i found this site, then i started buying things about three minutes after....

    Not at the moment... when i get home tonight ill try to snap a pic in my garage. I found it in a Mid-America catalog, and it was on the car before i even registered it. lol

    SLP skipshift eliminator. I just couldn't enjoy the car with the skipshift enabled.
