i dont drive much but it was the only car i had at the time, now i have a winter beater that i plan on driving in the rain when i put the SS back on the road, LS1's in the rain are no fun.

    Sadly now demodded :(

DD & part time racer. I treat it like a rental and it begs for more....

BUT, I meticulously maintain the drivetrain and rarely go more than 2 weeks without washing, waxing and underhood detailing. It currently has 38,xxx miles on the clock. IMHO, there's no use in having it if you can't beat the snot out of it.

My 67 on the other hand is a garage queen.

Alright some interesting responses so far.....Let go a little further. If you have a low mileage car that is NOT a daily driver do you plan to 'keep it' long term? I know it depends how you define that a little. But will your 4th gen. be something for you like the cars of the late 60's of yester-year?
I plan to keep mine long term. especially since I always wanted one....

I got a 2000 Z28 with 98k. It sits. I drive it once a week or every two weeks. I drive it for fun or those special occasions and put mileage on my other car. Plus the other car gets good gas mileage. I think I appreciate it more this way.

My 2000 SS is my daily driver. I just got it in Dec and it wasn't too bad in that sleet storm we had last month. It has 35K miles on it now and the previous owner added the 35th anniv stripes. It actually tows my boat pretty well too!

Ours is a daily driver. Bought with 17k in 2000 - now has 115k. Just had the transmission re-built. Drives better than before. Wife would have withdrawls if she couldn't drive it to work every day!

dude, that bought weighs nothing, you could probably tow that thing with a geo metro without a problem. It isn't KILLING the SS. I give him props for it. if I had a dingy or something small like that I'd do the same.
