Sometimes when the rear goes boom it'll take the stock aluminum driveshaft with it. You're lucky it didn't take the tranny too. The spohn driveshafts look good for the price. I have an A-1 custom steel ds ($300) and a Strange 12 bolt/Mcleod clutch. Launching at 5,000+ on ET Streets is fun.

Stock tranny. Still have stock torque arm too. Lookin to get a Spohn tranny mounted, had a Spohn chassis mounted and it was extremely noisy. Sold that. Only thing that worries me with tranny mounted is the thin aluminum mount.
