the RPM thing when you started your car sounds like what happened to mine last year when i took it out after sitting for 6 months. As already stated car ran like shit the first couple times i took it out (rpms dropping while idling and jumping around while driving) but after that it was fine.

it initially had a rough idle right when it first started... i let it idle until it reached running temp for the coolant from looking at the gauge..

then i reved it barely to like 2k rpms... the rpms came back down from the rev to almost below 500 rpms and the car almost stalled out and the lights dimmed... this happened more than once...

what could this be? and could this be an actual problem or is it just because it has been sitting for 2 1/2 months?

(would it be something to do with the fuel pump?)

Most likely the PCM just forgot how to idle. My car has done this 3 times, it would almost stall and did stall a few times, until I drove around 6 miles, then it was all normal again. Hasn't happened for about a year now.

well thanks guys for saying your cars had similar problems... makes me feel better..

even the look on the guys face who let me in the warehouse to start my car and when he said "man, you really did need to start your car once over winter didnt you?" cuz it was so badly idling
