Will removing the grille on the hood make the Camaro SS cleaner looking?
I was wondering if anyone has removed the grill in the hood scoop on top of the hood of a Camaro SS.
I just removed the grille on the front bumper and was thinking how it would look with the grille removed on the hood. Would it make the car cleaner? If so, are there any problems? For instance getting leafs and bugs stuck in the hood.
If there are pics, that would be great
Thanks,
Rusty

It pops right out, but in my opinion, it looks horrible.

it difintley gives a different look. on black cars its hands down the BEST, but on colors like white its the worst mod to do. there is also a "CAMARO" insert behind that plastic grill in lettering

also to add sometimes cars need some black accents being that our cars have black tops soo having that black grill is actually the best for it IMO,
but to each his is own,

Thanks for the reply’s. I have a red ss camaro, but this picture helps explain things. But I wasn't talking about the bumper grille. I already removed that and I think it gives the camaro a more aggressive stance.
I’m talking about this piece of plastic on the hood scoop. I’ll just remove it in a couple of days. I thought it might look good; because I think the new corvette doesn’t have a grille on the hood scoop. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don't know about the scoop grill but I removed my lower grill and had the holes filled and smoothed out, I love it!

The grill in the hood looks like ASS when removed. The lower grill loos like crap when removed unless you have the holes filled and smoothed like Capelajc did. Still I don't prefer that. Ill stick with my SLP lower grill. Soon I'm planning on putting expanded aluminum behind the false ducts in the grill. I'll have to see how it looks, don't want to make it look ricer like
