I think you have to put them on with the rear gear housing on the jack or on stands and then you might have to check clearance with the bump stops. Bump stops may have to be removed or can me moved with a BFH. Guys get 18's with 305's in there. so you should be able to

they should fit. They're repro's right? stock C6 wheels are bigger and have the wrong offset in the back for Fbodies... I know since I have some. I run 285s with room to spare.

I just bought a pair of repro C6 Zo6 wheels, 17x8.5 front and 18x10.5 rear. I'm just waiting on tires. I still have to rol the rear fender lips just to ensure that they dont rub my rear tires.
I'd post pics but i dont kow how to.

you mean this one? haha. They're KDW new tread's. 285/35/19s for the rears, 245,40,18s front. Fit no problem.

I am pretty sure the 295's will too...

They were over a grand for all 4... Let me find the site I got the lowest price from. The local tire shop matched the price. hold on...

here's a link to one of your rear tires. That site had the lowest prices I could find. Mine were like, $275 per rear tire.

since it seems it was overlooked...if you get a 45 series sidewall you're going to have fitment issues, even the C5 vette only uses a 40 on their 18 rear, and that's on 275s, you need to go with 35 or 30 depending on what width you decide on. And I say go for 315/30/18's, you'll make em fit Here is a great tool when buying tires for new wheels:

I would go no skinnier than 275 up front, 245's suck for handling on fbodys.

Well how big can i go on an 8.5" rim up front? According to the BF Goodrich KDW tire fitment chart, I can only go 255 the biggest. How does 255 sound? I think thats the biggest I can go.

You've got to be kidding me. Drive a car with F/70-14 bias plys and then get back to me.

You can put a 275 tire on an 8inch rim

Well you can be ignorant or you could go ask in the autocrossers forum and get back to us. By your logic we might as well go 225s all the way around because a camaro will still handle better than the old ass tires you mentioned. Unless you're drag racing, you don't want skinny ass tires in the front.

I wouldn't do that unless the tire runs really small. Just because it can physically be mounted doesn't mean it fits right, and could be very dangerous under the right conditions, you could also set yourself up for possible liability if you cause an accident because you didn't follow the tire manufacturers recommended wheel/tire size.
