Black- 98 Camaro SS
Who has the highest mileage on their SS ?
I've got over 143K on my 98SS, anyone have more? Any problems etc?
No problems with mine, just routine maintenance-belts,fluids;new plugs at 120K,I'm on my 3rd set of Goodrich KDWS tires, got almost 50K on last set, needless to say I don't abuse them since I drive 120 miles a day.

I've got a 94 Z28 194K on it. Just had the engine and transmission rebuilt. I've never heard of a camaro with that many miles on it before, anybody else?

as far as i know it's all original. when i bought it the guy never said anything about replacing anything. the only "mod" it has is a cut out on the back. i've replaced the pads, and got the rotors cut. and did the plugs and wires.
it's in need of new shocks and struts bad though. otherwise, runs really well, with no leaks.

104k on mine. i think they've been hard miles too. bought the car used with 93k and pulled out 4 toggle switches and some nitorus lines. runs pretty good tho. shocks and brakes are shot....... i'm happy considering i paid 5800 for it. ( 99 z-28 A4 loaded)

Now you guys are going to think that this is a sea story but it is totally true.
One of my neighbors on the Maryland side of Wash DC had
a Black '94 Z28. He was 74 years old at that time and has since passed away. Anyway, he claimed to have 465k miles on the car and I was skeptical so I verified this at my dealership who also serviced his car. Sure enough 465k and the origonal motor.
It turns out that he was regularly driving from DC to Alaska. For what, I was never sure. He told me one
time that he worked for the government.
Anyway, His dealer records showed that he had maintained the car faithfully and had always
used top quality oil and such.
The records showed that he had installed a different six speed, buying it from the dealer and had them
install it. The six speed that they put in had a wider
spread of ratios I believe. The records also showed that
he had installed taller rear axle gears (lower ratio). The car was claimed to cruise at 120mph.
I could not tell if the engine ever had any heavy repars done like valves or rings but the dealer assured me that the engine was origonal.
One time I needed a single tire to sell a '95 Camaro so
I went over to his house and darned if he did not have at
least four sets of lightly worn high-speed tires stacked in his garage. He gave me a couple.
The owner of my local Mobile station in the area had been there longer than I had and told me that the car that the man had before the Camaro was some sort of a Himi Dodge and that he had similarly modified it and drove it to very high milage as well. The man had bought all of his gas at the Mobile station so the Owner knew him and the car well.
This story is one of those "believe it or not" deals. However, I can assure you that this is correct to the
best that I could determine.

Mine's nearing 95k. I dread the day it rolls over 100, but after reading some of these replies, I don't feel so bad about it!

BELIEVE ME, I TRY! She doesn't work very much because of college, so she doesn't have the money to drive to me as often as I'd like.
SS vs. girlfriend
I'm just waiting for a breakdown or a break-up. So far, with all of the repairs I've had to make due to the little s*** that owned my car before me, the g/f's winning.
