The simple "watch and learn" method. Besides thet i just asked or experimented.

I used the forums and also bought a factory set of service manuals. A basic haynes manual from auto zone isn't bad either.

Install Univeristy, LS1howto, and hate to say it ls1tech are all good websites. Just read a bunch and ask questions, also try to search on here. Enjoy!

My dad, friends, car forums and doing it myself. If I run into problems, I ask more experienced people for pointers. You don't get good at it by watching all the time.

I bought my first F-body at 15 Y/O, ever since then i have loved them and owned over 12. Problems arise and i just dove in and fixed them and decided to become a full time Auto Tech and have been for 9 years.

+1 Just had a knack for all things mechanical and liked to see how things worked. I still remember being 14 years old and talking a relative into letting me replace the water pump on his outboard engine. I told him, "There isn't anything yet that I have taken apart that I have not been able to put back together and make work." He let me do it and two hours later we were out on Lake Huron.
