    Wheel Ideas for my Z28??!!

I'm looking to put some new wheels on my Z28 and just was hoping to get some ideas and pics from people. I was thinking 18s, wondering if anyone has had any problems with putting a bigger than stock wheel size on.

Actually, if you go to the Wheel/Tire forum, there's a thread where people have posted pics of thier aftermarket wheels. It's a sticky, so it's right at the top.

Great thread, gave me a few ideas for when I actually get a LS1 car.

While we're on this subject, I've been curious as to if any mods are necessary to fit 315/35-17 tires on the rear? Will they be compatible with aftermarket suspension mods? Admitably, this is a future idea for my car, but it looks sweet, and the added traction would be nice. I've seen a few Camaros with 315's but also read that it is a bit of work to get them to fit. The owners never went into detail though. Does anybody here know what might be invloved?

Like everyone one else said, 18's should fit no problem and will look killer if you've got the right stance. I saw a Trans Am a while back with 18's on it and 275's front / 295's in the rear ..... it looked awsome

You'll have to massage the wheel wells to make 315s fit. I don't care to hammer on my car's wheel wells. But if you want to, go for it. Others have made this work.

I had 18s and went back to 17s. The 18s just didn't look right to me, they were heavier and the tires were more expensive. Find something you really like before you buy...

I've got 18's with 275 front and 285 rear. I massaged my wheel wells in just because I like to corner hard and didn't want to rub at all. I can squeeze 295's in, but if I would go 315's I'd need to roll the fender lips and run a different offset or spacers. I'm also lowered though so if your not you won't have the problem with the fender lips. You will have space issues with any diameter rim if you use taller and wider tires. It's not the diameter of the rim that makes clearance issues. If you were able to find the proper sized tires you could run 22's with out rubbing.
