2500-3000 DA (on average - I've seen it higher) isn't all that bad. It could be worse. We could be in Denver....

Yep thats typically the DA I catch at the track all the time so I'm pretty used to it. I consider it pretty average anymore,,,if I were to ever catch something at 1,000 ft. or less I'd probably faint.
I'm hitting the track April 4th and 5th with 2 different cars for the Pontiac get together at Speedworld. I was hoping for some good DA since it's early in the year,,,but you guys are already hitting 90 degrees down there
    So much for that.

I believe you both my 98 m6 and my 02 m6 have been 12.6 to 12.7 on stock manifolds. At this level driver skill plays a big factor , you cant put a 15 second driver in these cars and expect them to run the 12 second numbers !!!

Actually any car that can trap at 102 mph has the capability to run 12's. I see it all the time in NHRA stock eliminator racing. Guys running as slow as 102 mph in the lower classes consistently get ET's in the 12.80's or so.

Providing you have a car that is setup properly utilizing everything and 60 foots well.

So I don't know why it would be a suprise to some that an Fbody that easily can trap at 105 mph or so in stock form actually slips into the 12 second bracket on occasion.
Like I said,,,good DA is all it would take,,,,,or some sticky tires and crappy DA

2001 z28 rockland gear rebuilt m6, k&n cold fipk intake, borla catback, subframe connectors, hypertech programmer, b&m short throw shifter, centerforce twin disk clutch, lightweight flywheel, mickey thompson drag radials....12.16 @ 108 mph 60' of 1.82 last november. im adding a moser 9 inch with 4.11s soon with the detroit locker and a torque arm i also have a ls6 intake with fuel rails, 160 therm and a tb. how does everyone launch with the m6 because i find right now that i bog about 500 rpm off the line and cant get a good launch typically during the warmer months.
