Got back from Speedworld late last night. I made a couple of passes but was told to slow down or park it since I don't have a cage

Barely made it through tech since the inspector told me he knew these cars were good for 13's. He asked what it runs and I played dumb and said,,,,uuuuh it's my wifes car and I've never ran it before. I figured I'd be one run and done anyway and I just wanted to get a feel for the car and how the new converter acts.
He wrote 13.50 on the window and told me if I go quicker thats it for me. I said thank you sir and went on my way.

With a usual race weight of 3,820 lbs. plus some added stuff in the trunk like a 5 gallon cooler full of ice, drinks and sandwiches, my laptop for tuning etc... On stock BFG KDWS's aired up to 40 psi. I was able to cut an easy 1.93 60 foot just rolling into the throttle easily, and ran a 13.09 at 105 mph.
The tune I was using gave me an AFR of 13.6 so it was a tad lean.
The DA was already over 2,000 feet so the corrected time was 12.76 at 108 mph. Car has a little more in it with some more fuel added but it will have to wait another time. Some tires would have cut the 60 foot down in the 1.7 range and made driving a little easier. I'll have to try out a set next time since this new converter hits pretty hard if you get aggressive with it.
Pretty happy for such a heavy convertable with just some headers.

Got to go heads up against a new mustang that had drag radials. I treed him good, My .047 to his .357,,ugh that dude was sleepin',,,,then got him through the 60 foot mark too,,,,my 1.93 to his 2.01(and I was on stock rubber ) then proceeded to pull away throughout the run with about 6 car lengths at the finish line. I had to watch the rest of the day but it sure was a good time.

    13.74 @ 104 is my PB with a 2.4 60'.......

Lid and a catback at the time. M6. I've got LCAs and new rubber out back, so I'm hoping for better 60 footers and a low 13 run

My 2002 Z28 4-spd auto completly stock off the showroom floor ran a best of 12.94. With a 150 shot of nitrous, flowmaster cat-back exhaust, and a K&N filter it ran a 11.94 @118 on street tires and stock suspension. here is the track photo of that run and a pic of the time slip and a recent pic of the car after some cosmetic upgrades.

Ah....Moroso...many memories there from when I lived in FL. I remember seeing my brother race there back in the 80s when I was about 5 years old. Good times. He lives in Palm Beach Gardens and sports a 72 Monte Carlo on the weekends.

High 12s stock...nice...the sea level helped for sure. Was it cold out that day?

just about any M6 would. don't think skilled driver really comes into play. I see skill as getting it off the line without slicks. But regardless, awesome times. Congrats!
