Red- 1997 SS Camaro 30th Anniv
Whats it worth? 1997 30th Ann. SS Camaro
My wife and I recently had our first child and I was told its time to sell my red 1997 SS Camaro. I am the second owner of the car and I have a lot of the original papers from the original owner since he and I are good friends. (The sticker price was $32000 in '97).
I have no idea what the car is worth these days so Im here to get some opinions. Last year I hit a deer with the car and the front hood, bumper, and driver side panel were replaced professionally. I had them paint the whole car (all of the red) since some of the paint in other places was showing wear. I have only put about 20 miles on the car since the fresh paint job and it looks sharp. I will post pics soon.
The car is in great mechanical condition and Ive owned it for 5 years now and the only problem Ive had is that the window motors went bad and had to be replaced.
Other details:
78000 miles
5.7 SFI V8 engine
6 spd.
t-tops
performance exhaust
hurst performance shifter
bilstein sport suspension
alluminum alloy wheels
limited slip differential
leather seats
power seats/windows
CD player
rear decklid spoiler
lightweight composite hood
What would be a fair asking price for this car?
Thanks

Start at 9K and don't go any lower that 8K! With new paint, you should be able to ask more!
The more I think about it, I want it! I want to trade, but thats not one of your options!
Are you sure that it does not have the Torsen diff?

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
I tried to do a NADA check on it, and for some reason it wouldn't allow me. It doesn't sound like it did from your post, but when you hit the deer, it didn't receive a rebuilt title or anything like that did it?

Go to KBB.com and you will get the value of the car. If you've invested money into the car then you can add or subtract from the value.

Correct me if I'm wrong here. Aren't 30th Ann. Camaros white with the stripe package, 30th badging, white wheels, and white 30th interior? Is every camaro from a v6 to a SS considered a 30th anniversary camaro made in 97? Don't get me wrong. Your SS looks very nice. It's just that I get another picture in my head when someone mentions 30th Ann. Camaro or 30th Ann. T/A.
I'd think your SS is worth somewhere in the $8k range. It's got low miles for 10 year old car.

I dont know about the 30th anniv. cars and if that only means the orange and white ones. The leather seats in this car have 30th Aniiversary on the back of the head rests, I guess thats why I was thinking it was also a 30th anniv. edition.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2001 camaro SS A4
You might be thinking of the 30th limited editions. Just like the 35th limited editions. Each car is numbered, looks just alike, and has "Z4C" as an RPO code. I know that all 2002 camaros got the 35th anniverasy badge on the dash. So maybe all 30th's got the 30th anniverasy in the seats.

From owning a 1997 Camaro "SS", I know for a fact that they have 30th Anniversary on the front of the seats. Its not the Special Edition Anniversary, but they are 30th Anniversary cars. So yes, it is!

Red- 1997 Camaro SS
I own a 97SS almost exactly like yours. I think I wouldn't ask less than 9K for it. Those cars are getting pretty hard to find in good condition. It seems the LT1 SS cars are holding their value pretty well now if they are in good condition. There were a lot more LS1 SS cars and some people like the looks of the 96 and 97 SS better. I have been offered $12K for my car but it only has 26K miles.
