Its just a aftermarket air lid that replaces the stock rescritive air box

The stock airbox has a design that restricts the airflow to the engine. aftermarket airlids are simpler and allow the air to flow freely from the filter to the maf. 10+ hp gain. very simple to install, too.

Just make sure it isn't already done. Most people change them.

well shit, that makes sense. are you guys talking about cutting a hole in the bottom of your airlid area to get air from infront of the radiator?

thats the ghetto rigging, so no (although it does work). 67camaro is talking about an actual cai. i have the slp one that came with a steel air tunnel that scoops in air below the filter in front of the radiator, it also includes the slp lid and the blackwing air filter. it works, but if it wasnt on the car already i would not have an "slp" intake. they are too expensive for what it is.

go here and look them up http://www.lmperformance.com

ya that's the one I was talking about. I didn't want to cut holes in my metal so I did a little something different. I have a pic but it's huge, anyone know how to put a pic in thumbnails?

ya I guess I'll do that. I cut some holes in the plastic so I get air fron the crack between the radiator. it should get me a couple horsies.
