Yeah I'm happy that all turned out good. I've posted some pic's of it in the other
    thread... http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...31#post1395031

My father wasn't into racing, however I can remember back to my childhood,
he had a new Corvette every 3 years. I don't remember his first Vette personally
but I've seen pic's of it (a maroon 65 with a white convertible top). But I do
remember the yellow Stingray with the 427 in it.
Anyway, after his last and final Vette (1984) he ended up trading it in on an
89 GTA, which I wanted. But after years of owning that car he traded it in at
the Chevrolet dealer and got the 2000 Z-28. The GTA only had 32K on it.

    2001 slp ss

Just picked up an 01 ss documented slp 40k miles for 16k just last friday. Car is perfect but feel I paid a bit much. Blue book was 14.5k for privat party and retail was 17.2k I couldn't find one like it though for that price.

With the miles and being a documented SLP car I think that's not a bad price. What slp options came with yours?

    ss slp

slp exhaust and the suspension upgrade which seems to work well. There were other small things like the car cover, the chromed wheels and a badging package. Didn't get the intake looks like though

Did I get robbbbed ? I do not think so. SLP center exhaust ,,T-Tops,,Monsoon 45,000 miles clean as a pin. Could eat off of it. Tires a little worn. Runs great all stock grocery getter,,,, woman owned it ,,I have the GMAC contract where she paid $34,420.00 for it new. I have been watching these cars for over 6 months and the HIGH mileage cars go aloT cheaper. You pay for what you get. Any comments ,,,,did I get robbed or not???

I don't think that is bad, the lady who owned my vert paid over $40,000 for it in 99.... Being an 02 also makes it costs a little more too

Figure though, she drove it for 6 years and lost only about 1/2 value which isn't bad for either of you

I have been watching these things for awhile and they got cheaper around Christmas then steadily went up in price,,,,,I saw several in the 18-25,000 range and now they look like they are going down a little again,,,,Tax time and the economy i guess. The one I bought is a 35th anniversary and i got all of the factory invoice ,,build sheet etc.etc, etc, with it including nice letter from Gm thanking them for buying it.Has all of the codes on the door and the build sheet. WU8 never looked so good and I am very impressed with how the car handles. I have owned vettes that are not much if any better. The sticker on the car reads $32,655.00 and she paid over $34 thousand with TT&L and traded a 99 Nissan Maxima in on it. I was amazed that they gave me all of this paperwork on the History of the car. Could be valuable down the road.

This is my second F-bod, but my first LS1.

    2002 SLP SS, 44,000 miles $16,000 Canadian (approx...$13-14k US)

Imported this baby up from the states, they are real hard to find around here, only 360 were originally made for canada.

Love this car, black on black leather, purrs like a kitten, and fast as hell. T-top. Monsoon system. SLP center dual exhaust. ram air w/ ram air hood. 6 speed tranny. posi rear end. 5.7L V-8.... i mean the environment is nice, but driving a real car is just fun.
