Yep, the 69 Camaro has too much of an angle to fit properly. But, the 69 Chevelle seems to fit fine

I have the blue bow tie from my first Chevelle and the angle is near perfect. I haven't put it on though. I'm still debating it. It's got quite a few scratches on it. I have a thin piece of sheet metal that I cut with a pair of tin snips and bent to the angle, and I need to drill a couple of holes in it. I just need the right length bolts. I think ¾” will do it.

I took a couple of pictures for you.

I was told to get the 69 Camaro SS emblem when I first got my grille. But, after realizing it wasn't going to work, I started asking around and I'm not the only one that's had this issue. Just like the OP stated... Some say yes it will fit and others say no it won't.

Possibly due to different manufacturers of the grilles or emblems All I know is the one I bought wasn't going to work. I still have it sitting on my shelf in the garage. And, it's an GM OER emblem too.

A sponsor on this site told me that the bow tie he uses on the grilles they sell are 69 Chevelle emblems. And, I just happened to have one and when I held it up against the grille, it fit pretty well. Which made me happy because I could have a little piece of my Chevelle on my Camaro

I just wish is was in better condition...

02fbody35th, I apparently forgot to mention in my first post that it's the 67-68 Camaro SS grille emblem that seems to work well from what I've read. But, I haven't bought one as I have decided that I prefer the bowtie. So, I haven't personally checked it out.
