What do i want for my SS for my birthday?

well my birthday is coming up... what do i want? my parents asked me and i was like "shit... i have no idea" cant be too expensive, cuz i was considering a cat-back but $500+ is too much to ask for right now

i dont know what kind of things performance-wise i should ask for, but one idea i got for appearance was this decal kit. looks great on pewter SS's...

    http://www.3rdgendecals.com/CustomerPages/DaveJ.htm

around that price range would be ideal. 100-200ish, give or take some.

help me out, ls1.com... what does ATC want for his bday?

i was also considering an electric cutout, but i think that might be a bit too expensive, idk

No... not a massage from your parents, money for it from them

Lowering springs aid to the handling and appearance in my opinion, I was thinking of the budget you wanted to keep...springs are like 250.

Pick one area and stick with it, performance or appearance. Most people do performance first then do the appearance mods after they have the car performing to their goals.

As far as performance mods within your budget:

    Lid
    Ported TB
    Sub frame connectors
    Used catback
    Stall

    Appearance mods:

    Tint
Lowering springs, but you need more than just springs to do it correctly. A drop in the stance makes a significant improvement in appearance versus an fbody that isn't dropped, not to mention the handling benefits.
    Stripe kit
    STB
Clear or smoked sidemarkers and turnsigs
Black "CAMARO" urethane fill ins for the rear panel(do not get cheap vinyls)
    Grille

you should ask for them to give you the cash for a payment or two... then you can relax for a month or two and go out and have fun - not working your arse off to pay for the car.

But thats just me... if you want car parts, i think a new shifter or a STB would be cool

Thats a great question. They add rigidity to the front of your car. And they look cool. But as far as proven improvement in performance...the debate continues.....

I did all my suspension mods at once so i couldn't say if there was a diff with the stb... in theory it should stiffen it up a little bit, but i would think the sway bars and the springs/shocks have alot more to do with it.
