White Liquid Silver- 2000 Camaro SS/ 02 YZF-R1
What battery are you using in your Camaro?
Does anyone get a dead or low battery after your car sits for a few days/weeks? I've been hooking up my car to my motorcycle trickle charger when I don't use it for a few days. I think its time for another battery though...any suggestions?

i use optima red top, love it, but i would try using a different charger casue motorcycles are i think single celled and require a higher. but best adivce for you would be a "batter tender" for cars, THERE THE BEST FOR STORAGE.
and i have no ill effect from a week/month or even a whole winter storage on battery from my car, on start

really...?hmmm...a friend of mine has a Z06 and he said he keeps his car on a tender b/c the same thing happens after a couple weeks. My battery will only click and not crank after 4-5 days of sitting, but if I drive it daily its fine.

and I do use a battery tender not a trickle charger as I originally said. I have my bikes and quads on them and never noticed if they specied for bikes only...I want to say it said for all, but maybe your right. At night my garage looks like an airstrip with all the lights along the walls.

Black- 2002 Camaro ss
My stock battery went south, I went with
Interstate MTP-75 - 700 CCA.
A few more CCA then the stock AC Delco @ 525 CCA.
All the best.

09 EclipseGT 75 Chevy 4x4- 2001 Trans-Am 13 F-XT
I use Optima Red tops in my T/A and in my Vette that sits quite a bit and never had a problem with either one. I had my T/A sit for about 3 weeks and it fired right up.

I picked up an optima when my Delco decided to fall apart. That was a mess.

Looks like an Optima red top is what I'll be looking for. I've had the car for so long that I guess I've just gotten used to it.
Thanks guys!

I'm going to get a red-top as soon as my original battery dies.... but it has 16,500 miles and is 5 years old, and the battery hasn't given me any trouble at all yet.

BRIGHT RALLY RED- 2002 CAMARO Z28RS
Camaro Battery
14 October 2007
Dude, my 2002 Z28RS just turned 29,000 on the odometer and I'm still using the factory Delco Freedom battery. By the grace of God, it's been good to me thus far: On back country roads on the way to Jonesboro from Batesville--when other drivers aren't in sight--I run my specially wired HID high beams, HID low beams, and HID fog lights all at the same time and the battery never misses a beat.
Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to an Optima Yellow Top battery, just for extra security.
