Interesting.....ugly...but fast...I wonder what they did to give it 450hp...and if they beefed up anything besides the motor to handle the power...this is SLP we're talking about, at least partially.......

hmmm... the grille and the other "USA 1" decal on the rear quarter are awfully ugly. but its a cool car other than that.

The wheels are like those on the Nickey Camaros, except white instead of black... not bad, but not my cup of tea...

Looks alot like,,,,,and reminds me of the "Spirit of America" hatchback Nova's that GM made in 1974.

Probably no one here even remembers that. But this camaro looks like a complete knock off of that scheme.

Ya they get no respect,,,,,that is until you drop a 550 hp 406 between the fenders of a 2700 pound car and drive it everyday for several years. Talk about a handfull while trying to row a muncie.

I've always had a soft spot for the H-body and had several monza's and vega's.

That's what a 4th gen would look like if it were sent back to 1986 to get customized.

nothin cooler than a pre-74,tubbed sittin low on the frame with a hot small block under the hood. kinda like a last gen. corvair sportin a mid engine small block setup.

Ya they look good like that. I had mine sitting on stock steel wheels with white walls, although switched over to 5 lug, and made a real sleeper out of it. Drove it like that for years. Boy was that car fun,
Unfortunately I sold the body before I moved out here last year. But I kept the entire drivetrain,,,maybe someday I'll find another one,,,hehehe.

Well according to the GM VIS, it's just another car... so all of that ugly nonsense must have been done after factory.

Ya they are about extinct back east. All the H-bodies I had I traveled out west for to get a rust free example and brought them back to Ohio and made them my daily drivers. Did that for alot of years.
Pinto's are cool in the same respect,,,,they except a V8 and they are just as light.

This car was done as a tribute to Bruce Larson by a company that was going to do something like what Matt did for Dick Harrell. But obviously never made it. The owner had this car at the Eckler's Winternationals show here in Kissimmee in February. Got to talk to him for a bit about the car. I believe they had done 2 cars if I remember right. It's not a bad looking car in person.

    **edit**
just read the script of the auction and all that was in there.. Sorry.
