Good reading: http://www.ls1.com/forums/f36/what-y...osting-161617/
No way your going to get 12k for a Camaro. But that's because I know the market and know what to look for, but there's no harm in listing your vehicle for 12k with a or best offer.

I would never ask for $12000 for it. I just want a real world amount i can get. I was thinking more like $7500

Good thing you aren't charging for punctuation... You'd be broke!!!
Just kiddin around.
See what they're selling for in your area, but also consider this... People who are selling them, are they trying to sell mods on them as well? NADA and KBB are great tools, but they deal in OEM vehicles. Mods will hinder the marketability of your car because you need to find the right buyer to make the sale. (if you are trying to make your money back on them) There's no problem listing your vehicle at KBB values, the worst thing that'll happen is you'll get lower offers. But it sounds like you have a lot of wiggle room.
Good luck!!!

I would def. ask alittle more that would you want. People nowadays seem to always try to knock down the price, not matter what it is. I don't blame them for trying, plus it probably makes most people feel like they got a deal. But this way you get a better chance at getting what your expecting.
Also, If a seller says "price is firm", I think he could be an uptight ass, so I avoid ads that say this.

I just bought a 2000 m6 with 57k miles in show condition for 11k if that helps. I thought it was a fair deal. I worked on him for a year before we came to an agreement.
