    wqasnt really talking about a 600 hp car... was just saying you could sc an ls1 and outrun a stock cobra by a lot... no rep. for disp...... i agree w/ you both on this..... im trying to talk dude out of getting a freaking ford.... you guys just took it the wrong way... and by that are being kind of hypocritical... your saying fords suck ass... then your like for the money you spend on an ls1 you might as well buy the cobra..... ford will never match to gm.... theyve proved it.... they JUST now hit 300 n/a.... thats sad... we hit that in what... 93?

    wait a second buddy. i never said ford sucked ass. YOU said that. check your posts.

    with 460 hp youre not outrunning a cobra by ALOT. a pulley and tune later and he is right there with you. i think you vastly underestimate what they can do.

    they just now hit 300 n/a? a mach 1 had 320 4 years ago. the 2v motors are the slugs, and i think alot of people, yourself included, cant or choose not to distinguish between the two. the 4v dohc is a heck of a motor for its size.

    third gens were kind of a joke unless it was the tuned port 350. in 93 ford didnt need 300 hp because they had a 5 liter stuffed into 3 thousand pound cars. with gears and longtubes it was a joke.

    try not to be soooo much of a fanboy and actually know what you speak of. ford doesnt suck. it has one line of 8 cylinders that are slow, one line that is pretty respectable.

    why talk him out of anything? he's a grown up and can make his own decisions. just because you have a cripply bias doesnt mean your view is the right one.

    another thing, i specifically said i loved the ss and in my opinion i would keep it. why then you would act as though i want him to get a ford is beyond me.

    if you still think that the ss is the more cost effective in terms of power you are still wrong.

    Now that its been mentioned... sit in it... my buddies 99 is comfy to me until i try to shift.... the shifter seems too far forward... it would be easily correctable with another shift lever, but i would have to mod it a bit... and i like the vette seats better, but nothing some race seats wont fix...

    here spend like 800-1,000 get a good NX system, and tune run a 150 shot and there you go, less money and great HP gains

    It is funny, out of the under 20,000 produced, (03-04 COBRAS) I have only ever seen one and it was at a dealership.

    ei only seen one, i pass it every day on my way home from work, sometimes i see him driving in the other direction. It's pretty quiet. He prob. just wasn't on it because i can make my car quiet too.

    straight up yes,,, but,,,,,, all of us know that cobras 03-04 are worth like 25-35k range. and the SS's are not
