I thought my 97 TA handled well, they she got modded and it was even better... that was compared to a 95 Vette. My SS is as stiff as a 12 year old Omish Boy in Hooters!

Hard Top, G2 LCA's, UMI TA, 1LE rear springs, Bilstiens, Eibach Sport Line front springs, UMI 3pt SFC, UMI PHR. I've been driveing the last 2 days with no rear sway, soon to have a Spohn 1" Sway on my 9" and DA LCA's.

IMHO, tires make a huge differnce, BFG's compared to say a Renken... BFG's win, twice the cost, twice the fun factor, F1's are great but spendy.

Who makes Nexen tires? Talk about your off brands, haven't seen them for sale on Tire Rack or Discount Tire.

They handle decent, but I didnt like mine on stock suspension. Although when i bought the car my main DD was a supra with eibach coilovers. After i changed the suspension around on the T/A it was alot better. I agree get rid of stock suspension and you will know what you were missing.

one of the worst/scariest experience of my life was when I tried to back out of my inclined driveway in the snow with my drag radials, I came a few inches away from hitting my dad's beemer fbody+snow=fail 100% of the time

Yeah man i dont understand either. I have a 98 Z28 with 96k miles on it and just replaced basically everything suspension wise with aftermarket stuff. Stock I dont think Camaros handle GREAT but they arent that bad. But I have bilsteins, eibach springs, torque arm, strut tower brace, front sway bar, sub frame connectors, parnhard rod, and lower control arms. While it does reduce the ride quality and is bouncy as hell its still a BLAST to drive. It handles like its on rails. I plan to do a road race soon in Oklahoma City in May so I will see if it passes the test haha.

The only reason why I asked is because that's what SLP upgraded the WS6 with - according to my GM promo VHS tape that I got, upon ordering an online brochure with their website in 2000

You mean SLP upgraded the SS or do you mean ASC upgraded the WS6? I thought SLP only touched the Camaros.

I thought the suspension handled pretty good for stock but kindof jittery. I added Strano springs, Koni adjustable shocks, and umi adjustable panhard bar. I also gave my alignment guy Sam Stranos alignment specs. The car rides a little rougher but it feels very stable ( not jittery ) and handles 10 times better.

To be perfectly honest, I thought SLP did both, but that's just a wild guess. The promotional video that GM had sent me years ago, didn't state WHO upgraded the WS6, only that the upgraded suspension sported Bilsteins sooo......

SLP did the Camaros and the Firehawks also. ASC did the WS6 like Andy mentioned.
