    Supercharger

Will the stock drivetrain (rearend) of a SS hold up with the addition of a Vortech supercharger adding approximately another 100 HP?

    You have 3 options:

    Dana 60
    Ford 9"
    GM 12 bolt

From my understanding is this: 12 bolt is the weakest of the 3, Ford 9" sucks more parasitic power to turn, and the Dana 60 is the pig (weight)!

If you do a search in Drivetrain, you will find many answers to your questions

Keep the tires on the slippery side and it should be okay
If you road race it or auto x it would be fine just no slicks and hard launches.

A Supercharger isn't going to be much fun if all you do is spin the tires all day....

Get a rear end, some SFCs, LCAs, and DR's.

    Then get a S/C.

Are you telling me that if I have 450rwhp and I stomp on it from a roll I am going to hook with street tires?

But people who autox and road race with a tire as sticky as a hoosier a6 and the like don't generally upgrade the diff. If it was drag racing then it would be essential to be competitive.

You also can get a fab'd rear. The one moser makes is shit. In fact all their stuff is shit.
The stock 10 bolt will be fine if you spin. It's when you hook that's the issue.

I think that moser makes a great product for the price. Do you have some bad first hand experience?
