2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
What year is your car? What year is his car? This is necessary so you'll know what you need. And, while it can be done, swapping a V8 into a V6 car is a major undertaking. Do you have the required skill set, tools and/or access to someone who does to be able to perform this?

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
Translation:
I've decided to take this project a different direction and not do the motor swap at all. I found someone with a front end damaged SS who was willing to trade the body of my car, for his whole car. He says he wants to go to a 3.8 because insurance on the SS is too high. Now all I have to do is buy a few body panels and I'll be set.
My next question is, if you have the and the money to the ?????????????, but I would just buy the V8, lol.
I had several people telling me different ways of doing the LS1 swap, so I just decided not to do it.

Many, MANY, things will need changed for a 3800 to v8 swap.. Starting from just a shell you can go any dirrection you want. But if you're trying to work with some or alot of what you've aready got, well as stated many things will need changed.. The swap is not for the light hearted and/or the broke... It will take plenty of $$$ to do it right..

I thought it was pretty much just a new k-member and everything that goes with that, transmission, and wiring harness
