Just bought my 02 SS/SLP. Is there any way to tell if previous owners have done any mods?

yup...look around your engine bay and underneath the car..oh and race a 01-02 stock ss and if you whip his ass then you know you have something (granted that your car isn't a factory freak) oh get it dyno'd

I know it has the 345hp exhust from SLP. Bear Brakes, vented rotors... that's all I've noticed so far. But the brakes and rotors were what got me thinking if anything else has been done.

well i mean really its hard to say..espec if he's had internal work done..but look at the air lid...does it have SLP in big print on it or anything like mti, or ls1 motorsports or anything..and i mean underneath..its hard to describe..but if you see any bars or peices glossy black or red..then you have some suspension mods

In 02 the SLP exhaust gave the car 335 hp advertised and the combination of SLP exhaust and this SLP/Blackwing lid gave it 345 hp advertised.

The passenger door says 345hp from SLP. What color would a stock intake be? Mine has a satin black one it. Looks almost new.

The lids are the same color(Stock vs.SLP/Blackwing).If the lid does'nt say SLP and Blackwing on it like the one I posted, someone swapped out the "good" lid for the stocker taking away the "345 hp" part of the car.

all ls1's are 345 hp, regardless if its a stripped z28 or a c5 vette. Obviously the HP is less restricted with the better intakes/exhaust.
