SS V6 lol....
I was looking at some cars on a Jeep/Dodge/ Chrysler lot with my friend today.
I saw the roof of a Camaro-- I had to check it out-- I always check out F-bodies when I get a chance.
Walked over to it, and it was a V6 Camaro that had SS badges (but it was a V6 auto with a cheesy version of the RS package)--
Why in the hell, would anyone do that. Better yet, why wouldn't a dealership take that shit off before they try to market the car to the public.

I don't know- it had a body kit, much like the RS- But it looked real cheap and cheesy? --For all I know, it may have been stock. But it just didn't look nice at all.
It didn't say RS on the kit (from what Icould tell)--
Hope this gives you a quick visual, afterwhich I fully expect you to want to delete that from your memory bank.
Automatic, SS badged , V6 with Body kit, that is in less than fair condition. with a factory hood.

some dealers don't care. case in point...
i got a job at a dealership because i stopped down to tell them that the grand prix that they had was badged incorrectly. the guy asked me what was wrong with it as they had just had the graphics put on it the day before. "well it's a grand prix and you have GTO on the side of it. that's a whole different car that isn't even out yet. the best that this could be is a GTP."
the next day the car had the badges taken off of it and a week later i had a job there.

I dunno why people do that, I was at an insurance claim center (where i am the provincial government runs the insurance) and I was flipping through the total losses they had for sale, there was a V6 98 i think they had up, in the description it listed the SS badging followed by in bold letters " IS NOT A REAL SS"

there is a car lot here that not only has a "SS V6" but they also have a 92 "ZR1" vette that isnt a ZR1. the ZR1 was hard to tell since i didnt know much about them so i did a little research and found that they came with an LT5 and this one has an LT1. It is at Tennyson's in Tazewell, TN if anyone comes this way stay away from the posers

I see many cars on lots around here that have poser badges & stickers on them. I see tons of adds that are wrong too. I don't know how many 5speed T/A & Z-28's I've read about. A couple of weeks ago a lot had a FWD 350Z on their lot!

I thought for sure that there was a package for both trans ams and camaro's that had the ss/ws6 styling (exterior mod's) only but for v6 models. I think i remember reading about that, plus i've seen a few running around. its not a bad thing, think about it, whenever i go to the bone yards there are more v6's than z28's etc. so finding an ss hood/ spoiler should be easier.

If you put an SS badge on a V6 you're making us look bad. I don't want to see these little tuners beating what they think is an SS with their pimped imports. Then again, it'll be that much funnier when I stomp them in mine. Of course I'm very cocky now that I've got the full exhaust, no mistaking that for a V6

Isn't putting SS emblems on a V6 kinda like
carrying an AK-47 with blanks in the magazine.
It's also sort of like those idiots that put chrome
spinners on their ford escorts & think that their
something special.
