Call some local auto body shops. My buddy works at one and just got a hood with a little wrinkle in the corner, they were going to just throw it away.

If he wants the look of an SS he can clone his Z and not have to purchase a SS...and I disagree, it would probably cost more to sell and buy an SS than to do simple mods the get the SS look.

Depends on how far you want to take it. Money can be such a relative term. I agree if all you want is the hood and spoiler than by all means it's cheaper.
If you are picky like some of us, you would have to factor in wheels and tires, the suspension upgrades like sway bars, shocks and springs, the power steering cooler. How far do you want to go???
I personally wanted more than just the looks and I'm happier with the fact that I have a pair of camaro's with the WU8 code as well as the Y2K code with extra SLP options. That's another plus I neglected to mention, finding one with SLP options can save from some other upgrades down the road, like the cat back exhaust option or an air lid for example. 2 of the biggest upgrades people do that wouldn't be necessary in this case.

The reality is these cars are so cheap to buy now, that it would make more sense to sell the Z and buy a real deal SS. I've seen nice examples now for well under $10k.
The biggest problem is finding an unmollested example that hasn't been hacked on. In which case it could be better to keep what you have since you already know what's there.
There are 2 sides of the fence, and I teeder either way.

For an SS Spoiler check out "Thespoilercompany"
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CHEVY...Q5fAccessories

I got mine there, cost me $245..... its not OEM but the look and fitment is really good. It also comes with the SLP LED Brake light and they'll even paint it for you.

Here's mine, yeah it's dirty as hell, but its December...
