    SS prices...

Whats up guys, this thread is not ment to be insulting at all. Im curious. I had a 99 black fully loaded ss and a 00' fully loaded ss. every option on both. I live in PA just so you know. My question is why are SS's so exspensive lately? both my ss i bought for under 10g. I see ss asking prices like 14-30g? with high miles??? do people really pay this much for a camaro? they can buy a corvette for these prices...Not to be insulting, im just curious why someone who isnt a dealer, can ask 25g for a car thats 9 years old with 20k miles??? I dont mean to be rude at all. let me know..

here is the book value on a 50k ss in excellent conditon(which no car is with 50k)

    a. I've never really seen SS's with high miles in that price range
    b. SS's are becoming more and more rare, I see more vettes than camaros
    c. Finding a decent corvette around $14k is not too easy either

People can ask for 25K. Doesn't mean they'll get it. I wouldn't expect more that 12K tops for my SS with 65K miles.

Good point, but its still annoying when your looking for a SS and people think there F body can get what 69 camaro can get. I really dont consider any F body rare..i see a lot of ss with 15-20k miles asking upwards of 20gs. I also see a lot of ss on ebay not sell because the prices are too high. they normally dont even get bids..

How about an 02 SS convertible with less than 7K?

cmb570 thats a great deal, and i would be happy to pay that! but 28g for a car with 17k? wtf????? I bought my ss for 8(83k mi) and 9g(60k mi) each. But now it seems like everyone wants 12-16g for ones with similiar miles? I go off KBB or nada, and these prices are thousands higher

I don't think KBB or Nada are that accurate for SS cars....

That's exactly why I wouldn't sell mine, I've had her since 1yr old she's part of the family. I have a hard time sell stuff for 1/3 of what I paid for it and I've taken such good care of the car, that should be worth something.
