i got my car on good Friday (april 13) in the year 2001 with 3 miles and its almost at 100,000 . good job taking care of it and driving it and enjoying it . Ive had a lot of cars in my 30 plus years of driving and there is a reason i kept this car for 10 years , i like driving it. its well balanced . but any way , happy motoring !

congrats! that's good to hear. I just bought a 99 ss about a 1 1/2 months ago with 81k miles and now i have almost 84k. It's sad but that's what I bought it for was to daily drive.

on a side note it's amazing the abuse these LS style engines can take. The 4.8L engines in the vans where I work have taken ALOT of abuse. The 2006 has 266k miles and I still drive it everyday aprox. 200+ miles a day. We have two 2007's with 198k miles. and a 2008 with 85k miles. The only maintenance that gets done is 5k oil changes. None have ever had trans or differential fluid changes.

I agree, as you can see. Drive it like you stole it, just make sure you do the maintenance too.

All of our work trucks here have over 200k and still running strong. All are 99-02 GMC with 5.7L or lower.

He would be proud of me for my maintenance up-keep, so as long as I'm out of the line of fire.... (was that selfish? )

I will, on the weekends now it seems. But Wifey won't let me go too long without driving it. She loves to ride

I'm sure it will...but only if you take off the body kit. Wind resistance kills our cars don't you know that? (Then when you take it off, I'll tell you that I miss the body kit )

Hey, it was bound to happen sometime. That car will always look like it's fresh off the showroom floor though. Well taken care of, and very well visually modded too! As stated to me above, drive on!!

Seems to be the way it works around here No wonder I am constantly flip flopping on what to do to my car. It's all your guys fault
