SS is DEAD! HELP!
2002 SLP Camaro SS............started up fine on Saturday.............drove about 20 miles, ran great..........parked for about 5 hours, got in and was completly dead, not even a click when I turned the key. Jump started and drove it home, ran fine.
Tried to start next day, same story.
A friend had a brand new Optima red top he gave me to try out..........put it in, car fired right up, ran great.
Tried to start today, same story, completly dead.
Any thoughts.............?2002 SLP Camaro SS

Blackety Black- 35th Anniversary SS
Maybe a power wire is grounding somewhere and draining the battery.
After the car has sat and you tried to start it and it doesn't fire up, test the voltage of the battery and see if it's getting drained.

make sure the battery wasnt leaking. i had a very small leak in my battery before and it dripped along a wire, fried my starter or something and my car would do just that. start drive fine, then not start and then hours later start up just fine. hope you figure it out, good luck.

Thanx for everyones suggestions and help. Jump started the car again and let run a bit. When I shut it off, I heard a humming and realized it was coming from my electric H2O pump. Apparently there is an open circuit that lets it run when I shut the engine off, draining the battery. Going to trace the wiring and find the problem
