    Squeking cricket in my motor?

    So ive tried replacing almost all the pulleys in my car except for the underdrive pulley(harmonic balancer) and still sounds bad. At times it sounds high and at times its not even their. When i turn on the air it get louder squeking squeiking and so on. What do you guys reccomend

    Have you replaced the idler pulley on the AC belt drive system? Or it could be the compressor starting to poop on you.

    AC Belt

    I had the same problem. The AC has a pulley and a belt of its own. I started with the belt and it ended up being the pully. Its a pain, but it sounds as though you have it narrowed down to the AC.

    it is apparently the ac tensioner.
    i replaced the belts and the harmonic balancer the noise decreased but still is sounding !!! not as much as before but i am getting the tensioner tommorw and fixing it asap

    may want too look at seeing if the crank pulley needs too be shimmed. seen that a few times.

    ive always heard that if its chirping like that its usually the tensioner... ive got the same problem. i believe their around 150 new to replace.

    Hey I am about to change the ac tensioner! I got it for 40 bucks at advanced auto! It costs 110 at the dealer ! I heard it's easy to change up! Any ideas!! Should I change both tensioners

    Since you'll have the whole belt system taken off, it wouldn't be a bad idea to swap out both tensioners. Save yourself some time down the road.
