I bought it, it's a well engineered package, a bit of cutting and drilling involved..no big deal....worth it in the end. Just don't buy into the "Worth 20 HP or more" nonsense.

    Half the Claim?

I take all the gain claims and half them. No particular reason other than I don't believe them. Air in and Exhaust out is critical for a proper running internal combustion engine. Any improvements on the latter will improve performance numbers. I went the Lid. Smooth Bellows, P&P Maf and 78mm TB. Don't know the gains because didn't have a base line nor have I put it on a dyno (waiting on Cam install).

I agree with 89LX...cut the claims in half. I can't tell you how much it helped out either, as I installed the kit at the sametime as all the following:
LS6 motor, Comp cam 228/230-571/573@112 LSA, LT SLP Headers with catted Y-pipe,into a LM system, new Spec 2 clutch, Double roller timing chain, upgraded valve springs, Chrome moly pushrods, de-screened stock MAF, 160F thermostat, skip shift eliminator, TA Performance 10 bolt girdle, and oh yeah..I needed a new alternator too...Whew! Moser 12 bolt still to come, after the bank account recoops!

for less than the price of the flowpac you can get just the slp lid and the ssra kit. it'l also be worth more hp than the entire flowpac.

I too, like a loud exhaust, I ordered my complete system at once, from the headers back, at that time I also ordered the muffler, (LM2) along with the resonator. I haven't put the muffler on yet, but remember that I have the cats, and that's suppossed to help with the raspiness. If we take it on a long trip, which we're planning for this fall, I'll probably put the muffler on. The muffler is a straight thru shot, just like the res, so there's no back pressure, or loss of HP (I assume). The resonator is only a piece of polished pipe, there's absolutely NOTHING inside of it. Just so you know. I do like the sound of the cam loping at an idle, and hope that I will still be able to hear it with the muffler on.

If it was me, I would avoid the package and go with free cold air mod, get a lid(doesn't need to be SLP) and have your throttle body ported by someone good at it for around $40. Avoid the smooth bellows showed zero gain on the dyno and actually put more pressure on my lid and made it crack. Filters have been shown to really flow no better than the stock one, but they are reusable if you clean them with the oil/cleaner kit. Save yourself the money and use it for some better mods. For $140 area the free ram air/lid/ported tb, should show simular gains.

I think I used a hacksaw or dremel tool. Been so long I can't remember.
