should i trade my 99 for a 01'??

I found a 01' Z28 with 27k miles on it, nice paint joband body kit, k/n filter and short air box they are asking 18,999 and they said they might go 16,500 with taking in the 99 for 7k and paying off my loan of 6,900 when they added all up on the finacing i was looking at 20k for a 01'


so i am asking is it worth it?? My 99' has 137k miles on it and the transmition is starting to lunge from first to second???

I honestly don't think that this is a good deal at all. You can rebuild your trans or buy another one for a hell of a lot less than what you are going to spend trading for the '01 car. I don't know what shape your car is in but take a good look at your car and figure out how much it would cost you to get your car like you want it. You may be surprised how much money you could save by fixing up your car. Also, I don't care what anyone tells you ....there is not that much difference between a "99 and "01 Z/28, both are good cars. Good Luck!!

Not a good idea IMO, just get your tranny fixed and spare yourself the financing.

don't trade in your car man... not a good deal at all..... if they would sell you the car for 12k or less it wouold be a good deal....

Thanks for all your help guys, i turned down the deal and walked out... it did have the ls6 intake too but i figure i can get a ls7 in it when i pay it off

Yeah...keep you car! With the 20K you save, you can mod it all you want!! They don't call it the stealership for nothin'

Any deal that the dealership offers you isn't a good deal. Walk away. You will be paying too much for a six year old car. I bet those aren't original miles on the car either. Just say no.
